Editorial leadership
Mozine — Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Mozine founded MODENU in 2024 after nearly a decade covering the Android MOD community on smaller blogs and Telegram channels. Mozine sets the editorial line, approves the weekly publishing schedule and personally re-tests every game that reaches our Top-10. Expertise: Android reverse engineering, mod-menu ecosystems (Kiddions, Cherax, 2Take1), premium-app patching.
Layla K. — Managing Editor
Layla oversees the review pipeline and enforces our Editorial Policy. Before joining MODENU she wrote for two well-known mobile-gaming publications and led their APK-review vertical for four years. Expertise: mobile gaming trends, editorial standards, fact-checking, plain-English tech writing.
Ahmed R. — Security Lead
Ahmed runs our sandbox lab. Every APK we publish passes through a network-isolated Pixel and a Galaxy device that he monitors with mitmproxy, Frida and a custom permission logger. If an app tries to phone home to an unknown endpoint or request unusual permissions, Ahmed pulls it. Expertise: static/dynamic APK analysis, network forensics, mobile malware research.
Testing team
Dana P. — Senior MOD Tester (Sandbox / Racing / Sim)
Dana specialises in racing and simulation titles — Pixel Car Racer, Asphalt Legends Unite, Car Parking Multiplayer, Truck Sim Ultimate. She logs a minimum of 30 minutes of actual gameplay per title before signing off on a review.
Jonas M. — Mod-Menu Tester (GTA V, Roblox, FPS)
Jonas focuses on the mod-menu category: GTA V (Kiddions, Cherax, 2Take1, Rift, Nesx, YimMenu), Roblox executors, and games like Phasmophobia, Sons of the Forest and Big Scary. He documents every menu’s feature list and known-safe version numbers.
Chidi O. — Premium-App Tester
Chidi covers premium-unlocked apps: Spotify Premium, YouTube Music, Deezer, ChatGPT Premium, Claude, Natural Reader, DeviantArt. He verifies unlock claims across multiple accounts and network conditions.
Priya S. — Casual & Kids-Game Tester
Priya handles casual and kids titles — Toca Boca, Melon Sandbox, Subway Surfers, Chicken Gun, Super Bear Adventure. She also flags any mod that changes in-app-purchase behaviour in ways parents should know about.
Contributors & freelancers
Alongside the core team we work with a rotating pool of freelance contributors who help us cover niche titles — Sixth Path Rebirth, Grand War 4, Solo Leveling Arise, Whiteout Survival and similar. Every contributor is credited by name at the bottom of each article, and every contributor signs the same disclosure agreement as our staff: no undisclosed sponsorships, no accepting free premium accounts from developers we cover.
How we hire
MODENU is a small operation, but when we do hire we look for three qualities: (1) genuine domain expertise in mobile gaming or app security; (2) a portfolio of published writing we can independently verify; (3) willingness to sign our editorial-independence pledge. If you want to write for us, send a pitch and two samples to [email protected].
Contact any team member
Every team member can be reached through the shared inbox [email protected]. For sensitive tips (security disclosures, DMCA, press) use one of the dedicated addresses on our Contact page.
All bios on this page are kept up to date. If you notice a bio that looks stale or a role that has changed, please let us know at [email protected].
How we stay accountable
Small independent publishers can drift over time — a reviewer starts skipping tests, a new hire takes a shortcut, a busy week turns into an ungated publication. We fight that drift with three concrete practices.
Weekly review huddle. Every Monday the whole team meets for 30 minutes to walk through what we published the previous week. Any reviewer whose article did not follow the checklist has to explain why. Repeated shortcuts result in a written warning and, if unaddressed, in removal from the reviewer roster.
Public correction log. Every correction we publish is recorded in the public log at https://modenu.com/corrections-policy/#log. If you notice a reviewer’s name showing up repeatedly, that is signal you can act on. We think readers deserve that kind of visibility.
External audit once a year. Once a year we invite an outside editor — someone with no ongoing relationship to MODENU — to spot-audit 10 random articles from the previous six months. The auditor’s report is summarised on our About page each January.
Contributor onboarding
New contributors go through a two-week onboarding before their first byline appears on the site. They shadow an existing reviewer for three files, then have three of their own reviews double-tested by the security lead and read line-by-line by the managing editor. Only after that supervised period ends does a contributor get to publish under their own name. It is slow, but it means every article you read on modenu.com has been through more than one pair of eyes.
We also require every contributor to complete a short primer on our safety standards, our tone guide and our approach to disclosures. The primer is refreshed twice a year to reflect any changes in Google search guidelines, mobile-security best practice or applicable law.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the names on this page real?
Yes. Everyone listed here is a real person with a verifiable writing or security background. We use first names and last initials to protect the team from harassment, which is unfortunately common in the modding community.
Can I write a guest post?
We accept a limited number of guest contributions each quarter. Pitches should go to [email protected] with two published writing samples and a proposed topic that fits our current coverage.
Do you work with brands or PR agencies?
We do accept advertising, but never in exchange for editorial coverage. Brand inquiries go to [email protected] and are handled by a team separate from editorial.
